AMA International University Consultant meets with Bahrain Education Officials
Dr. Jose B. Cruz Jr., consultant for the Accreditation Board
for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accreditation of AMA
International University Bahrain recently paid a courtesy
visit to Bahrain education officials, Professor Riyad Y.
Hamzah, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council (HEC)
and Dr. Jawaher S. Al-Mudhahki, Chief Executive, Quality
Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET). AMA
International University Bahrain recently appointed Dr. Cruz
as consultant for the ABET non-U.S. accreditation for its
degree programs in Computer Science, Engineering Informatics
and Mechatronics Engineering.

AMAIUB hosts 1st Bahrain Tripartite Business Research Conference
Having recognized research as a vital part in the triple function of any higher educational institution, AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) hosted the first-ever Bahrain Tripartite Business Research Conference on October 15, 2011 the University Auditorium.
With the theme, “Government, Industry and Academe: Working Together for a Better Quality of Life”, the Business Research Conference aimed to establish linkages among the academe, government, and industry sectors for wider collaborative efforts in research undertakings. Further, the conference also provided an avenue to network with the various research organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

ABET consultant visits AMAIUB
ABET (formerly known as Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) Non-US accreditation consultant Dr. Jose B. Cruz, Jr. visited AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) on September 12-14, 2011. The visit intended to assess AMAIUB’s readiness to pass the accreditation criteria set forth by ABET Computing and Engineering Accreditation Commissions.

AMAIUB holds seminar-workshop on Bologna Process
In its quest to promote excellence in the quality of education, AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) held a two-day seminar-workshop on the Bologna Process, which was facilitated by Dr. Richard Bryan Holden, Executive Director of European Council for Business Education (ECBE). This seminar-workshop held at AMAIUB auditorium on July 22-23, 2011 was purposely conducted to uplift the faculty and staff’s professional expertise.

to host the team and sponsor their two friendly matches with
Bahrain’s football team in preparation for their trip to
