College of Engineering

  Message from the Dean

Welcome to AMA International University-Bahrain College of Engineering.

The College of Engineering (COE) offers two (2) bachelor programs, Mechatronics Engineering and Informatics Engineering. Both programs provide strong technical curricula, together with a broad range of other educational opportunities for students not only to excel in their chosen careers but also to make effective contributions to society and the economy. The College is respected for its competent and highly committed faculty members, and for its having sustained the delivery of quality engineering education to the students of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Striving for excellence in instruction and research, COE continues to establish a learning culture in which teaching and research of the highest quality flourish equally. The College has firm commitment towards developing productive and innovative individuals who can lead, or help lead, the economic development of the Kingdom of Bahrain and other service areas. Perhaps the most exciting academic experience at AMAIUB College of Engineering is the opportunity for all engineering students to engage in hands-on training. The College is equipped with state-of-the- art instructional facilities in the areas of mechatronics, electronics, as well as computer and electrical engineering. Students engage themselves in elaborate capstone design experience, developing intelligent machines and systems in multidisciplinary teams. Equipped with these skills and competencies, our graduates are ready to face the challenges and pressures of the evolving world and the diverse demands of industries, thereby contributing immensely to the Kingdom’s Economic Vision 2030 which aims at building a better life for every Bahraini.

Currently, the College is doing its strategic initiatives to expand its programs to address the global needs in the different disciplines of engineering. We are confident that through these initiatives, we will provide more opportunities for our students, faculty, and industry partners.

Thus, I invite you all to further explore the opportunities available here at AMA International University-Bahrain... your access to success!

About the College

The College of Engineering offers bachelor programs in Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Informatics that provide intensive academic and practical trainings that are attuned to the demand of today’s industries. These programs are product of hybrid plan in mechanical, computer, electronics and communications, and electrical engineering. The two different engineering curricula have been designed to prepare the graduate for the challenges of their chosen career. Thus, the programs adequately equip the students with the appropriate theoretical background relatively necessary in the industry practice.

The college continues to seek out industrial immersion and linkages, research endeavors that provides opportunities for future engineers responsive to the changing needs of the ever-evolving global milieu.

Goals
  1. To produce highly competent, multi-disciplinary specialists with solid technical knowledge in who can work with efficiency with the given the dynamic environment in the field of engineering.
  2. To develop graduates who have problem-solving skills in developing breakthrough technologies to meet the challenges of changing times and the diverse demands of the industries.
  3. To instill among graduates the enthusiasm for conducting relevant quality research and dissemination of technical knowledge significant to the industrialization processes.
