AMAIUB hosts 1st Computing Conference

U.S. trained IT consultant and Maxloyal’s general manager, Dr. Hossam Jubarah, pointed out gaps between the education industry and technology, as well as between technology education and the industry, in his keynote speech at the 1st Computing Conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain, hosted by AMA International University-Bahrain and FESTO, on Oct. 6, 2010, at Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama.

Dr. Jubarah dynamically discussed the premises of his presentation: “to stimulate and intimidate thinking for change,” “be a trend setter for a serious debate on the subject,” “motivate decision makers with practical reasoning,” “alert the need and urgency to act now,” “support consortiums and all collaborative initiatives,” and “above all to please Almighty Allah.”

The theme of joint initiatives and acting without delay to bridge the gaps between the education industry and technology and between technology education and the industry, was well interwoven in Dr. Jubarah’s stimulating discussion.

“The most successful individuals and organization,” stressed Dr. Jubarah, “are those who find ways to deploy and integrate learning tools into everyday business activities. Learning is the only constant in a changing world, and it is the only function that gives economic competitive edge.”

Conference consultant Dr. Emelin M. Magada , AMAIUB Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and conference organizers Dr. Ramon DJ. Cabigao , dean of the College of Computer Studies (CCS) Dr. Minerva Bunagan, CCS associate dean , and CCS professors Dr. Rolou Maata and Dr. Janette Sideno, were lauded by AMAIUB Head of Administration, Madam Buena Gracia A. Canzana, for the success of the historic conference.
