On
18th April
2012, the British Accreditation Council conducted a two-day
consultancy visit to AMA International University-Bahrain which
aim to make a full review and audit of AMAIUB’s operation,
aligning the current provisions with the requirements of the
Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training (QAAET)
and the Higher Education Council (HEC) in Bahrain as well as
providing assistance in ongoing quality assurance and
enhancement activities of the university’s programmes and
institutional systems to meet the standards of the
above-mentioned authorities. This two-day visit is only the
beginning of a long relationship and partnership with this
prestigious British organization as the proposed assignment will
be a staged project that will be carried out over a period
of time.
The
first stage which began last week will include an exploratory
preliminary visit, on-site full review and detailed
institutional report. The second stage will be an active
assistance and support in implementing the required improvements
and ongoing monitoring of progress.
