  Program Description

This multi-disciplinary program aims to provide students with both foundation and core course skills and competencies necessary in understanding the dynamics of world politics and international relations. Knowledge in history, political science and economics, culture and language, as well as computer skills are emphasized to make the graduates function well in pertinent career situations.

This program also aims at immersing students in various cultural contexts, global governance, and diplomatic affairs in notable levels. This permits students to develop a more flexible perspective with which to better understand and evaluate societies and institutions that make up the contemporary world.

Likewise, the program provides elective courses that hone students to become professionals, managers, socio-economic political analysts, policy implementers, and foreign affairs officers. This is to prepare students to the changing international politics as they deem fit in the global village.

 
  Program Objectives

This program intends to produce graduates who are:

  1. capable of innovating, designing, and implementing various conceptual approaches to global peace and international peace relations;
  2. excellent in conducting comparative analysis and apply such expertise in politics;
  3. proficient in communication using a second language as a means to interact internationally and as a tool in understanding other culture different from one's own;
  4. prepared to engage careers in foreign relations and actively participate in international affairs;
  5. analytical in applying theoretical concepts of international governance and politics with emphasis on communication and research skills, cultural diversity throughout the world, and global systems;
  6. capable of exploring and defining their value system and how they make excellent choices based on this system;
  7. capable of developing intellectual frameworks for the concept of global citizenship and what it means to be a good citizen of the world; and able to pursue advanced degree programs or careers related to international studies.
