University honors President’s, Dean’s List for the 1st Tri of AY 2016-2017


AMA International University-Bahrain (AMAIUB) honored the students who made it to the President’s and Dean’s List for the 2nd Trimester, AY 2016-2017 during the Recognition Program on March 2.

The University also awarded tuition fee discounts to these students who showed exemplary academic performance in their respective programmes, namely: Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics (BSBI), Bachelor of Science in International Studies (BSIS), Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), and Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering (BSME).

The President’s list were Fatima Mohamed Yousuf A. Rashed Haji Zaman (BSBI), Mariam Khan Khan Mohamed (BSIS), Benneth Mark Bugna (BSIS), Mariam Husain Ghulam Husain Mohamed (BSBI), Husain Abdulla Ali Abdulla Alfadhel (BSIS), Ahlam Mohamed Hasan Albalooshi (BSIS), and Faizaan Mohammed Mustafa (BSME).

On the other hand, Alya Isa Rashed Salman Almahmeed (BSCS), Maha Nabeel Mohamed Muhana Almuhana (BSBI), and Fatema Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Alajlan (BSBI) made it to the Dean’s list.

The President’s List qualified the students who obtained an average of 96% and above or A+ with no grade lower than 91 or A. The students who were part of the President’s List enjoyed a 20% grant on their tuition fees.

In addition, the Dean’s list qualifiers got an average of 91% and above or A with no grade lower than 86 or A-. The Dean’s List students received a 10% grant from their tuition fees.

These grants require the students to possess a Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Office of Students Affairs. They should also carry a regular load of 18 units per trimester.

With these incentives, AMAIUB hopes to motivate the students intrinsically, help them recognize and hone their own potentials while they are in the University, and inspire them to reach higher goals. Aside from the academic grants, AMAIUB has other programs and activities that provide social and emotional support that students need in order for them to succeed not only in their academic life but also in their chosen career paths.
