Through the initiative of the Faculty Development Office of AMA International University – Bahrain (AMAIUB) in coordination with the different colleges, a triad of seminars was conducted in the first month of the year at the AMAIUB premises to keep the faculty members abreast with business issues and trends.
On January 21, 2020 – Mr. Ahmed Farouk, the Chief Financial Manager of Oil and Gas Holding Company – Bahrain, discussed “Banking Opportunities – Now and Beyond”. He enumerated significant points and modern techniques of banking considering the role of technology and financial institutions in the economic development and sustainability.
On January 28, 2020 – Mr. Shijas Mohidheen, the Director of Trade Arabia Al Hilal Group – Bahrain, talked about “Business Process Management – Process Modeling”. He further demonstrated how business processes and computing systems may be analyzed, improved and automated. With the emerging technological innovations in business and in other areas of the industry, he emphasized that quality assurance and quality control should always be considered to ensure customer satisfaction.
On January 30, 2020 – Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram, a chartered accountant and the Head of Finance of ACE Training – Bahrain, shared his expertise on “Accounting Information System – Past, Present and Future”. In his presentation, he drew back to the evolution of accounting, cited current computer-assisted accounting methods especially in manners of collecting, storing and processing financial data, and previewed business environments through the information technology resources.
Said seminars were planned and organized by the Faculty Development Office in line with AMAIUB’s pursuit of academic excellence, hence delivering up-to date information to all its business, computing and engineering students through empowered faculty members.
